☆☆☆過去の写真を整理していたら出てきたのでアップしました☆☆☆
観光旅行を兼ねて、ハワイ諸島でも1番歴史の古いマウイマラソンに出場！色々な人々と出会い、ハプニングもあったけど！マウイらしくのんびりとカアナパリとラハイナ周辺を満喫♪色々なリゾート地の中でマウイ島が一番好き(^-^)というほど・・・大自然と人々が融合し、また芸術やスポーツが人々を豊かにさせるマウイ島にアロ〜ハ♪

I visited and enjoyed some sightseening on the Maui island with my friends. Also, I enrolled in the Maui Marathon; it has the oldest history in the island of Hawaii!
I feel from the bottom of my heart that the people who live in Maui harmonize well with nature and that many visitors are enriched by their arts and sports.

I met many people and had happenings around Kaanapli and Lahaina area!

I'm happy to say“ ALOHA!! Maui is the best of island in the resort places”

コストダウンでチャイナエアーを利用☆
１時間半程遅れて成田空港へ機体が到着・・・マウイ島へ乗り継ぎ便の飛行機に間に合うかな？と不安にかられながらも、お腹が減っていたのであんまりおしそうではないけど機内食完食！

Using by China airline

The air plane was one and half hours behind schedule to Narita Airport. I was anxious about my connecting flight from Honolulu to Kaanapli.

Be served it looked like “ Not yummy meal” but I was hungry and perfectly ate it.

ホノルル〜マウイ便の乗り継ぎ便も少し遅れていて、無事マウイ島に到着♪アロ〜ハ〜(^-^)マウイの海と山と雲が Welcom to MAUIと言っているようでした☆☆☆

The connecting flight was a little bit late so safely I arrived at Kaanapli, Maui Island!
It seemed like the Maui ocean, mountains and clouds said “Welcome to MAUI and Aloha”

ホエラーズビレッジに行くと大きなクジラの骨がぶら下がっていました。写真はクジラの骨！！大きすぎて写真に入りきらず前からパチリ！昔はマウイ島はクジラ漁が盛んで今は捕鯨はしていませんが、アラスカ沖からたくさんのザトウクジラが、冬〜春にかけて出産し子育てをするために集まるそうです。

I Visited at the whales village, the big whale skeleton dangled on wires. It was too big to take a picture which was out of the frame of my camera. (Sorry for taking it from before backward.)
A Long time ago, Kaanapli had thrived on whaling but it dose not catch whales anymore. Currently, many whales come from the coast of Alaska from winter through spring because they give birth and raise theirs families.

ホエラーズビレッジのテイクアウトのチャイニーズ屋さんで、３種類くらい選びアメリカンの中華料理を舌つづみ♪（揚げ物ばっかりだけど（-.-;)明日はハレアカラ山頂に行くため、早めに就寝・・・ZZZ

I chose three kinds of American-Chinese fried foods with a green tea for my lunch, at Chinese box in the whales village. I just cared about my stomach then I went to bed early because of going to Haleakara Crater for the next day.

☆ハラアカラ山頂からのサンライズ

標高３０００ｍの上からのご来光！！ハレアカラとはハワイ語で「太陽の家」というので朝日はとってもキレイと聞いて、ツアーに参加！しかし早朝？夜中の２時出発で３時着の山頂は寒かった！！

Haleakala was a crater but it like a mountain!?
Haleakala”means“The sun’s home”

My friends and I took part in the sun rising tour because we heard of beautiful landscape from a hotel concierge. We left the hotel aroundl 2:00am and arrived at 3:00am in the morning around the top of Haleakara

太陽が出てきた〜！！ALOHA〜♪

Good morning! Ohio-go-zai-masu! It was the cloud sea!! God bless me!?

山頂からのハレアカラのビジターセンターです。私は友達と別れて、この山頂からダウンヒル・・・富士山とほぼ同じくらいの高さからマウイの下界まで自転車で快走〜。

This is the visitor center from the top of Haleakala. I left my friends and went downhill by bicycle from the top. I felt so good!!

一時休憩、だいぶ下山してきました。中腹くらいかな？カフルイの町並みが見えてきた！！

I easily looked over the view of downtown.

ゴ〜ル！！カフルイのビーチ！！
　
途中、朝食としてカフルイで有名な山小屋のようなお店でブリトーを食べ（写真が無いのが残念）パワーチャージ。この時に、アメリカ本土のアリゾナやユタから来たアメリカ人の走行者の人たちと、しばし休憩しながら団らん。みなさんから”You are the Powerful Japanese Girl!!Good Job!!”と拍手をもらいました(^-^)男女合わせて一番背が低かったため、インストラクターの次（素人では先頭）を走らされ、下界に入ってからは車が通る度にインストラクターの指示を後者に合図しなければならず・・・皆さんから感謝の拍手を頂きました。休憩後はほんの数キロでしたが、このビーチまで走行したのでした。

I reached my GOAL, my deram, Kahului beach!!

I ate a Hawaiian-stlye burrito at the famous lodge in Kahului ( Sorry for no picture, It was so delicious and I was fill with energy from a burrito !!) When I was eating the burrito, I talked with my bike riding group who came from Utah and Arizona in the U.S. They said to me “ You are a powerful Japanese Girl!! Good job!!” and I drew applause from them. That was because, I was the shortest in the group but stood at the forefront, just behind an instructor. I had to tell my group when the car were coming.
With only a few miles left, the instructor took to the beautiful beach!!　

☆ラハイナの街からの夕焼け☆

午後から、昔はハワイ諸島の首都、今は芸術家が集まり画廊がたくさんあるラハイナの街に行きました。朝日とは違った夕日もまったりとしてラハイナをより華やかにしていました。

I and my friends went to Lahaina downtown where were the capital of the Hawaii of islands a long time ago.The sun set was also a nice view and made Lahaina more bright and wonderful. Nowadays many artists live and there are many art galleries around there.

まったりラハイナをブラブラした後は・・・夕飯！！ずっと前から食べたかったシカゴピザ！！シカゴの本店で昔食べた味を忘れられず・・・マウイで再開！！生地はパンでほんのり甘くシカゴ本店と同じで感激！！

It was at a dinner!!
I really wanted to eat“ The Chicago Pizza” from several years ago because I had eaten it at the original store in Chicago. Finally I found it at Maui!! I was so impressed by the slightly sweet dough that was the same as a original store in Chicago!!

次の日は、朝からモロキニ島のシュノーケル！！

マウイ島のワイレア沖にクロワッサンの形をした小さな無人島がるのですが、クロワッサンの形の内側の湾内は波や外的からの攻撃を守るため、熱帯魚がたくさんいました。透明度がありとってもきれいでしたが、水温が冷たかった！しかし色々な魚を見て楽しみました。

In the morning, we wnet to snorkeling at the island of Morokini!!

In side the crescent shaped bay, there were many kinds of fishes and the deserted island. The ocean was so clear and cold but it was a very fun!!

朝のラハイナの街

シュノーケルではしゃぎ過ぎて、戻る時の船のゆれに船酔い（T0T)
友達たちのパイナップルやマフィンを食べている姿も見るのが嫌な程船酔いし、陸地に着いた時の嬉しさはひとしお！！元気になったのでラハイナの街にくり出しました。

Lahaina in the morning

When returned to pier, I was getting seasick because I was so excited at the snorkel. I felt like I was going to throw up but my friends were O.K. and were eating some pineapples and muffins. When I landed in Lahaina, my feel was so comfortable and free. I was getting better after we took a walk around Lahaina downtown a little because we had 5km race for the next morning.

前日の船酔いはまったく影響がなく、朝からマウイマラソンの前座タコスマウイラン５ｋｍに三人で参加！！当時７０歳の日本人のおばあちゃんが走っていて、美女トリオ？たちはつかさず声をかけパワーを頂き、私は明日のマウイマラソンに備えたのでした。

We took part in "5km Tacos Maui Run" in the morning.
70 years old Japanese woman was running at the same time. After the goal, we talked with her and she mede us cheer. I also prepared to the Maui Marathon for the next day.

ホノルルマラソンより小さいけれど、和気あいあいな雰囲気なマラソン。ラハイナの街を走っていると、アイスキャンディーをくれたり、このアイスのおかげでラスト１０ｋｍゴールまで頑張れました。そしてなんと！前日でお会いした７０歳のおばあちゃんもマウイマラソンにも参加していました(@0@)すごい〜っぃ！！三人の内、私だけマウイマラソンに参加でしたが、改めておばあちゃんのパワーに驚かされました！！

A day of The Maui Marathon

This marathon is the smaller than Honolulu marathon so it was kindly and friendly to the runners. Especially, some people gave me a iced-candy around 32km(20miles). How wonder they were! Most of runners were very tired over there but if they nibbled the iced candy, it made each runner a smile at the moment.
Actually I only enrolled this full marathon also two friends cheered for me. When I was running, I found 70 years old Japanese woman again !! I was so surprised that she was running 42.195km (over 26 miles)!! She was the super Japanese senior!! My friends and I waited for her goal then we acclaimed her!!

フルマラソンを走った後は、一緒に来ていた二人から本物のプレメリアで出来たレイをもらいました。（内緒でラハイナの花屋さんで購入したのでした！）たくさんのマラソン参加者たちから「そのレイはどこでもらえるの？」と尋ねられ、ナイスな友人を持ったな〜と感動。
その後、ゴール近くの海で足をアイシング。しかし波が粗く波にさらわれ、本物プレメリアのレイの感動はどこえやらで、友人二人は海辺から爆笑していました！本当にアイシングどころではなかったです・・・イギリス人のおじさんに助けてもらいました。

海辺で飛んだハプニングがありましたが、三人でコンドミニアムに帰宅し、極度に疲れていた私は爆睡(-.-)ZZZzz、他の二人はラハイナ散策へ・・・。こうしてマウイの旅路は終わりました(^-^)


After the goal, I received the real lei that was Hawaiian flowered necklace from my friends. Many runners told me where get it that was so beautiful!!

I suppled my legs on the beach. After I moved to a little deep spot in the ocean and I suddenly got carried away on a wave. My friends had a laugh at me and didn’t help me!! The gentle British man saved me at the time --- I was safe and secure---I appreciated his kindness---

My friends and I went back to the hotel together. I was very tired from the full marathon so I took shower and went to bed. On the other hand, two of my friends took a walk around Lahaina again!!

I spent good times with my friends and retained pleasant memories of my trip!!
