言わずと知れたハリウッドを代表する天文台です。特定の駐車スペースがありますが、展望台にたどり着くまでの道沿いにもたくさんの駐車が。夜になると路肩は駐車の長蛇の列ができ、展望台まで少し歩くことになります。その分、展望台からのロサンゼルスの夜景は息をのむほどの美しさ。この夜景を見るだけでも行く価値は充分にあると言えます。
単に巨大な望遠鏡が望遠鏡があるだけでなく、展示を含め天体を身近に知ってもらうための設備やサービスもたくさんあります。例えば建物前の広大な広場に、小型望遠鏡がちらほら。解説員が丁寧に星の解説をしてくれます。ハリウッドでの素晴らしい思い出になること間違いなしのスポットです。
