住宅地に囲まれた榎の樹ですが、江戸時代から伝わる噂話が尾ひれをつけて広まり、最終的に悪縁を切るスポットとしてその名が知られ、現在は小さな祠が建てられています。
その祠の敷地内の参道脇には、絵馬が無数吊るされており、ほとんどの絵馬はプライバシー保護用のシールが貼られ内容を読むことが出来ません。しかしまれにシールが貼られていない絵馬があり、その内容は見た者の精神を半ば病ませる程の恨みがましい内容が綴られている場合があります。安易に絵馬を見ることは止めましょう。小さな祠であるためそこで絵馬が販売されているわけではなく、祠の周囲の商店で購入することが出来ます。
人との縁だけでなく、タバコや酒などの悪しき欲望を断たせるのにも効果があると言われています。

However, in rare cases, there are ema without stickers, and their contents may be so bitter that they make the viewer halfway mentally ill. Do not look at the ema without caution. Since it's a small shrine, ema are not sold there, but can be purchased at stores around the shrine.
It's said to be effective not only for breaking off bad connections, but also for breaking off evil desires such as smoking and drinking.
