Very disappointing, even though the dishes are good, because there were several unpleasant points

恵比寿駅周辺の飲食店はおしゃれなお店が多いですが、この食堂はそれらと一線を画した、古き良き時代の雰囲気を漂わせる大衆食堂と言えます。カウンター席10席程度の小さな食堂で、入口に段差があり席の後ろの通路も狭いため、車椅子等の障碍を持つ方の利用はお勧めできません。支払いは現金のみです。
長年食堂を営んできただけあって、ほぼ全て料理がしっかりと拵えられているにも関わらず、注文から給仕までの速度はとても速いです。昼食時間帯のみの営業であるため、給仕される料理はほぼ全てにおいて定食スタイル。効率的に給仕するために、ライスや味噌汁等のサイドメニューも全て合わせて給仕されるのではなく、出来上がったものから順次給仕されます。トンカツや唐揚げ等の味付けはやや濃い目。でもその分ご飯が進み、しかも量も充分にあり、誰もが満足できる料理でしょう。
しかし、お店として勧められるかというと、あまり勧められない点がいくつかあります。食材が梱包され床に置いていた段ボールを、調理用のまな板に、布巾などの防護をせずそのまま置いて食材を取り出す、ということがありました。まな板には食材は無く、調理前にきちんと消毒するのでしょうが、見ていて衛生的に心配になり、不愉快になりました。また、客が退店した後、他の客がいる前で退店した客の噂話を繰り広げたりして、これも聞いてて不愉快になりました（するなとは言いませんが、せめて客がいない前でやってほしいです）。また、給仕の素早さを追求するあまり、一部の料理の盛り付けが雑で、皿が油でベトベトしていました。
料理そのものは良かっただけに、いくつか残念な点が残った食堂でした。

Many of the restaurants around the Ebisu Station area are fashionable, but this diner sets itself apart from them by being a popular eatery with a good old-fashioned atmosphere. It's a small diner with about 10 counter seats. The entrance has steps and the aisle behind the seats is narrow, so it's not recommended for wheelchairs or other handicapped people. Payment is by cash only.
The diner has been a diner for many years, and even though almost all of the food is well prepared, the speed from ordering to serving is fast. Since the diner is open only during lunch hours, almost all of the food served is set meal style. In order to serve efficiently, side dishes such as rice and miso soup are served one after another, rather than all together. The seasoning of the pork cutlet and deep-fried chicken is a little strong. However, the rice is more filling and there is plenty of it to satisfy everyone.
However, there are a few things that I would not recommend as a diner. There was a case in which a cardboard box with food items packed on the floor was placed on a cutting board for cooking without any protection such as a cloth, and the food items were taken out. There was no food on the cutting board, and I guess that they sanitize it properly before cooking, but I was concerned about the sanitation of the food and felt uncomfortable. Also, after customers left the diner, they would gossip about the customers who had left in front of other customers, which was also unpleasant to listen to (I'm not saying not to do this, but at least do it in front of no customers). In addition, in the pursuit of quickness in serving, some of the dishes were served in a messy manner, and the plates were sticky and greasy.
The food itself was good, but there were a few things that left a lot to be desired.
