横瀬駅から15分～20分程度のところにある棚田。春に植えられた稲は、夏になると緑色の段々畑になり、秩父の峰から吹く風と共に揺れて、涼やかな風景を醸し出します。秋には稲も黄金色になり、今度は黄金の畑に。田んぼの淵には彼岸花が咲き、黄金色の鮮やかな赤が添えられます。
このように、季節ごとに美しい風景を見せるのが最大の特徴の棚田。特に初秋の彼岸花が咲くころは、高麗の巾着田の方に人が集まるからか、このスポットにはあまり人が集まらず、悠々と散策、そして景色を堪能することが出来ます。
棚田の向こうには、工場のプラントが。棚田と工場、風変わりな組み合わせながらも、どこかしっくりとマッチする光景は、見る人を魅了することでしょう。

They will be beautiful golden field in the early autumn. Cluster amaryllises blossoming on the footpath, the contrast between gold and red makes up a Japanese rustic landscape.
The sightseeing spot of cluster amaryllises where is one of most famous and you can go from Tokyo soon is Kinchaku-da in Hidaka city. However, it may get very crowded every day during the period when those flowers are in full bloom. Despite being a place to make a beautiful landscape every season, this place is not so crowded. If you are interested in Japanese rustic landscape, I recommend this place to you.
