JR町田駅の近くにあるお茶屋さんです。商店街を通ると、店から蒸した日本茶や中国茶の香りが漂い、必ずと言っていいほど足を止めるでしょう。ですが、多くの人が2階は喫茶店になっていることを知らないのか、休日の通りは買い物客で混雑しているにも関わらず、喫茶店内はほとんど人がいませんでした。そのため、静かにゆったりと時間を過ごすことができました。さらに店内はアンティークの調度品が設えている、品のよい空間になっています。小さいながらコンサートスペースもあり、コンサートが時々催されているようです。
お茶がメインのお店のため、デザートはぜんざいなどの和風のものが中心でありつつも、数は少数。急須にあらかじめ入れてある茶葉にお湯を注いで楽しむスタイルです。そのため、お茶だけでも1,000円程度とやや高めの価格設定になっています。
2階へは階段のみで、エレベーター等は無いことに注意が必要です。

As you know, the shopping districts around Machida station are crowded with shoppers on holiday.Nevertheless, the cafe on the second floor was surprisingly quiet, and there are few customers. That means you can relax comfortably.
The main menu of the cafe is tea mainly of Japanese tea or Chinese tea. Tea leaves are put in teapot beforehand, customers are free to add hot water to it and drink. Because of that, the price is somewhat higher compared with other cafe. Instead, the variety of tea is very abundant.
Unfortunately, the way to go upstairs is the stairs only.
