日本だけでなく洋の東西を問わず、印刷技術の歴史から変遷、印刷技術を通した表現方法の多様化に至るまで学ぶことができる博物館です。『印刷』という限られた題材とは言え展示されているスペースは存外に広く、随所に体験コーナーも設けてあるため、展示室を通して飽きることはありません。年間を通して通常展示がほとんどですが、まれに開催される特別展示には、さらに視点や時代、国や地域を絞り、印刷技術がどのようにその特定の時代・文化社会において深く根付き、発展に貢献していったかが分かります。特別展示の際は料金が異なりますので注意。先着で、『印刷の家』というスペースで様々な印刷機を用いながら、様々なワークショップを体験できるのも魅力であり、子供にも人気のスポットと言えます。
